Silvana Effio, is a multiple Emmy Award-Winning bilingual journalist with over 15 years of experience in media.

She is currently co hosting "Acceso Total" a lifestyle and entertainment show that airs Monday - Friday from coast to coast in the US on Telemundo.

Career

As a versatile TV Host, throughout her career she has interviewed internationally recognized figures that include Ryan Gosling, Jennifer Lopez, Jaafar Jackson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jack Black , Gloria Estefan and many more. She has also covered day to day, breaking news, human-interest, investigative, political and entertainment stories.

Commercial Talent

Her commercial work includes campaigns for Ontario International Airport, and brands such as 'Lysol' alongside actress Roselyn Sanchez and Parmalat Yogurt

Education

As a recently arrived immigrant, at age 17, Silvana, who is a native from Peru, began her higher education earning scholarships from stations such as NBC affiliate, KSL5. At age 19, she got her first job as a part time reporter and graduated from the University of Utah.

Community and Emcee Work

As Emcee and moderator she brings warmth, professionalism, and journalistic depth. She recently served as moderator at the Telemundo's Playmakers event in Los Angeles 2026. She has moderated bilingual political debates such as Salt Lake City’s Mayoral Race in 2016, and has emceed traditional annual events for several consecutive years; including annual Cinco de Mayo Festivals, as well as the LULAC National Convention 2015, among many others.
